The General Overseer of Victory Bible Church International (VBCI), Bishop Nii Apiakai Tackie-Yarboi on Thursday underscored the importance of Godly character to the overall development of the youth, and cautioned them against ungodly acts such as pre-marital sex, drug abuse, and the infamous “sakawa” practice. He said the youth, should rather be courageous, intelligent, humble and be steadfast in their faith in God, and to emulate Daniel in the bible, whose character traits he said enabled him to stand out and excel during his generation.
Bishop Tackie-Yarboi, was opening a five-day ‘national youth camp-meeting’ of the church on the theme “breaking limits” being attended by over 1,500 youths from various branches of the church throughout the country, in Cape Coast. He reminded them that walking with God, always brings reward, as Daniel was given “knowledge, understanding and wisdom”. Touching on ways to ensure the proper development of children, Bishop Tackie-Yarboi stressed that verbal abuse and insults could hurt the emotions of children and render them timid or withdrawn for life.
